Privacy Policy
Laconic Technology LLC ("Laconic Technology," "we," "our," or "us") builds custom AI systems for US manufacturers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, interact with our advertising, or engage with us as a prospective or active client, and how we use, share, and protect that information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact and scheduling details. When you book a Roadmap Session, call us, submit a contact form, or email us, we collect your name, business email, phone number, company name, role, and any information you include in your message.
- Meta lead ads. If you submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form that points to Laconic Technology, Meta shares the information you enter in that form with us (such as name, email, phone, and company).
- Client engagement information. During an engagement we may collect operational information about your business to design and build the systems we are hired to deliver.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use first-party and third-party cookies, pixels, and local storage to operate the site, measure traffic, and improve our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Information collected by advertising and analytics partners
We run paid advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our site. These tools may use cookies, the Meta Pixel, the Meta Conversions API, and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, the actions you take, and non-precise location data. This information is shared with Meta and our other advertising and analytics providers and may be combined with information they already hold about you.
2. How We Use Information
- Respond to inquiries, schedule meetings, and deliver the services you request.
- Operate, secure, and improve our website and offerings.
- Send business communications about your project or inquiry.
- Measure advertising performance and improve the targeting of our ads on Meta and other platforms.
- Build custom and lookalike audiences for remarketing campaigns on Meta.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. Advertising, Meta Pixel, and Custom Audiences
We advertise on Meta platforms and use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API on this website. These tools help us understand which ads lead to meaningful engagement and allow us to show our ads to people who have previously visited the site or interacted with our content.
As a Meta advertiser, we want to be clear about the data behind our audiences:
- Data sources. Audience data for our Meta ads is sourced from website activity collected via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API and, where applicable, contact information you provide directly to us.
- Consent and lawful basis. We process this information based on your consent where required, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in operating and growing our business.
- Data freshness. We do not upload custom audience records that are older than 180 days.
- Cross-platform tracking. Meta may combine website activity we share with information it has collected about you across Meta-owned platforms.
- AI-generated creative. Some of our ad creative may be generated or modified using AI tools. Where Meta requires it, we apply Meta's AI Content Label so this is disclosed to viewers.
You can control how Meta uses your information for advertising in the Meta Accounts Center, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following cases:
- Service providers. With vendors that help us operate the site, deliver email, host infrastructure, schedule meetings, process payments, and run advertising and analytics.
- Advertising platforms. With Meta and similar platforms as described above, for the purpose of measuring and targeting our advertising.
- Legal and safety. When required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Laconic Technology, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Website analytics and advertising data are retained according to each platform's standard retention windows.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at ken@laconictech.com. You can also:
